Hi, everyone! It’s Day 2 of Neat & Tangled‘s March Release and, today, the design team is featuring the Dala Horse stamp set, coordinating dies, and the Scandinavian Flowers stamp set, all designed by Miriam Prantner.

Dala horses originated in the 1800s as wood-carved toys in Sweden. Since horses were invaluable, these carvings symbolized friendship and hard work. They were also bartered for other household goods. The most popular version is red but there are others, usually in bright colours.

I love that Miriam created so many versions of the Dala horse, both to colour and die cut from any material your heart desires! I used all of the Dala Horse dies to create the horses in the window. The sentiment is from the Dala Horse stamp set and the grass and flowers in the background are all from Scandinavian Flowers.

There’s a GIVEAWAY! Be sure to leave a comment on the Neat & Tangled Blog for your chance to win the Dala Horse and Scandinavian Flowers stamp sets!

All release products will be available for purchase on Friday and I’ll be updating my links at that time. See you again tomorrow!

  1. Gonna have to get those dies! Love the folksy look of this – and they will be perfect for making cards for my horse-surgeon sister!

  2. omgs… this reminds me of the horse exhibit at LA county fair… they had horse from around the world, and they had some that looked just like this… awesome…

  3. I didn't know we can create two different Dala Horses using dies until I saw your card. Yes, I didn't open my die package yet. (Bad me! Lol!) Your card is gorgeous with vibrant color combo. I think this card would be perfect for baby shower card. Great design!!!! Hugs, May
