Welcome to this very special blog hop to honour Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine’s legacy in the paper crafting industry! You should’ve arrived from Ruza Rebel‘s blog. If you find any broken links along the way, please report them to Taheerah Atchia who organized this brilliant send-off. Thank you, Taheerah!

Everyone on this hop has their own story about how they were touched by PC&S. My first publication appeared in print 3.5 years ago. I have Unity Stamp Company and AJ Otto to thank for taking a chance on me and giving me the big push to submit! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I had two Unity cards picked up on my first try and I still remember the exhilaration. It was one of the greatest feelings and that excitement motivated me for two amazing years. I remember working incredibly hard call after call and it didn’t take long before the private calls started rolling in, too. Those ones made me feel extra special. My proudest moments?

What am I taking away from my experience with the greatest paper crafting magazine in history? Definitely the friendships, the knowledge, and the design team opportunities. I attribute a lot of my success in the industry to PC&S. I realized my strengths and learned that I could go further by staying true to myself and being unique. The competition pushed my limits and made me better. If it weren’t for this hobby, I never would’ve met so many talented people who I’ve learned from and leaned on. I’ve experienced a few dark moments in my personal life over the years and I’m lucky to have had my paper crafting friends to keep me sane.

* * * * *

I realize this may be a teary farewell for many but I prefer to smile and remember so that’s what my card is all about.

Jennifer, Susan, Holly, Stacy and Kerri – my wonderful mentors and friends – you’ve given me so much and I’m honoured to have been part of your extraordinary history at Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine. Thank you. โค

Thanks so much for joining me on my trip down memory lane!
Your next stop on this hop is Ashley N. Newell!
