Many of you have asked about the card that my husband made me for my birthday and here it is! It features several of my son’s favourite stuffies. On the far left is the hamster (you know him well) from Party Posse, converted to Bonsai the Panda. So creative! Centre-left is the famous bunny squirrel from our neighbourhood (more on him below), created with the squirrel from Spring Groves and the puff from Party Posse. Heehee.

Centre-right is ever-so-cute Shellby the Turtle and on the far right is Dippy the Diplodocus, both from Party Posse. Dippy has been so well-loved that his spikes have disintegrated so my husband trimmed those off the image. Oh, the little details! The sentiment is from Bold Buzzwords and the speech bubble is from He Said, She Said.

My son drew a picture of me and him surrounded by lots of love. Awww! I love those multi-coloured swirls!

My husband used the Happy Gloves book to create two squirrel stuffies for our son. Eek! Talk about dedicated to pleasing the little guy. My husband went out and got the gloves, then did all the sewing and stuffing!! Here he is hard at work with my son excitedly waiting for the finished squirrel.

It was my job to create the face and I did so with embroidery floss. Our original squirrel had a long tail but in the second, smaller version you see in the group photo above, I used a white fluffy pompom to mimic the real bunny squirrel’s tail.

Now, bunny squirrel is not a mythical creature. He (or she) really exists! He’s a black squirrel with a white bunny tail. He lives a few blocks from us and sometimes we go out of our way to see if we can get a glimpse of him. It’s always a good day when we see bunny squirrel out and about. Heehee.

Now you know how much my family loves squirrels. ๐Ÿ˜‰ On to the Giveaway and Challenge!

I found a few of my projects involving Paper Smooches squirrels. I had forgotten about most of them. Obviously I was crazy about that squirrel from Hang Ups! LOL
