This project is a holiday bookmark using the inlaid die cutting technique. It features the new Stockings Dies and Holly Jolly stamp set, along with the Bookmarks Dies. My son has been asking for different bookmarks for different types of books. For example, he’ll use a dinosaur bookmark for dinosaur books, a Lego bookmark for Lego books and a sea life bookmark for The Octonauts books.
To create the inlay, I die cut a front and back for the bookmark and die cut the stockings from the front panel. Before adhering the two bookmark panels together, used washi tape to split and stamp the sentiment from Holly Jolly. Then I die cut the stockings and cuffs from Fancy Pants’ Me-ology 6×6 paper pad and adhered the patterned pieces in their respective spots.
The black enamel dots are by My Mind’s Eye, the black chevron ribbon is by May Arts and the green twine is by Divine Twine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is an adorable bookmark! I'm surprised you didn't have a helper assisting you make it. 😉
Sweet bookmark Emily! Think I need those stockings!
Enjoyed the video tutorial… immensely. It's always fun to watch you work. The way you tied off the ribbon is unique and a clever trick that allows the use of a thick ribbon that normally doesn't work well for a bookmark tassel. Your use of washi tape as a mask is another a clever idea. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and sharing it with blogland.
I love the die inlays Emily with the pop of color on the kraft.
