It’s Day 2 of the Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights for the August Release and today the design team is featuring Carnival Toppers. This card makes me laugh and I have no explanation on how I came up with it except that I love to shop. I think that the little girl screaming for you to buy cupcakes is the same voice that I hear in my head. LOL!

The first thing I did was die cut the little frames and speech bubbles from Polaroid Fun. Then I die cut, stamped and coloured the little girl from In My Heart (+ Creative Cuts). I positioned and adhered the girls into the frames. Then I masked off ‘buy’ from the big sentiment and stamped it three times on the speech bubbles.

I determined the placement of the frames on the 3.25″ x 6.5″ card – one of my favourite sizes to make – and stamped the main sentiment, while masking off the appropriate sections. Before adhering all the frames in place with foam tape, I used Versamark ink to stamp three cupcakes from Carnival Cupcakes to emphasize the buying. LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. This card is hilarious!! Love it!! The subtle cupcake background is great. The not-so-subtle girl yelling for cupcakes is so funny!! what an entertaining card! Thanks for sharing!

  2. This card is delicious. I love everything about it….the colors, kraft paper colored card base, the sentiment, images and placement of words. I am so inspired to make something similar. Thank you for the ideas.
