This is my second year participating in Libby Hickson’s Tour de Craft, celebrating the Tour de France that takes place every year in July. As many of you know, my husband is a bicycle designer, we got our son a balance bike at 22 months and, well, we just plain love bikes! For me, the Tour is not just about the race but the scenery. This year, the Tour started in Leeds, U.K. and today is their third day in France.
For my card, I used the new Backdrop Builders Dies from Paper Smooches to create both a meadow scene as well as a mountain scene. I love the speed of the flatter stages but also the pain of the mountain stages. Haha! Both scenes are framed inside the Polaroid Die. The bike is from the Promenade stamp set and the sentiment is from the Get Outta Town stamp set.
I wish I had the time to make more than one bike-inspired card for this special occasion but, alas, time is not on my side these days. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to visit Libby’s blog for the duration of the Tour de France to see awesome bike-inspired cards by Libby herself and other special guests!

Fabulous card, Emily – I love the little scenes you've created – those mountains look about right for the Tour de France (that would be my worst nightmare – cycling up a mountain? Nope!).
Julie :o)
There are just so many things to love about this card! The two scenes are perfect. 🙂
Really cute card! I love how you mixed and matched your die cuts and stamps for this charming scene…so sweet!
