Welcome to the first Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge in July! This week’s challenge is Shake It, which means you need to use a shaker/confetti packet type of element on your project. You can create your own shaker (my three video examples here) or use a premade one. The design team is featuring Simon Says Stamp Exclusives. You don’t have to use it but we’d love to see some if you have it.

I made a shaped card using Simon Says Stamp’s Balloons Dies and coordinating Birthday Messages mini stamp set. You can also buy these together as the Balloon Sentiments Die & Stamp Set. I love these balloons! The patterned papers are from Pink Paislee’s Color Wash paper pad (front) and Heidi Swapp’s Dreamy paper pad (back of shaker).

The Happy Birthday die cut that forms the window for my shaker is from the Little B Block Out die set that I also used in this recent post. They were an instant addiction and I want to use them on everything! To finish the card, I tied some pretty ombre cord in coordinating colours to the base of the balloon.

One winner will be chosen at random to win a $50 gift voucher to the awesome Simon Says Stamp Store!
It could be you!
I hope you will play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday. 🙂

  2. Awesome shaker card, Emily! I love all the sparkle behind the alphas, and the soft patterned papers are so pretty! Love the font on the alpha dies, too! Thanks so much for your inspiration!

  3. Emily!!!! THAT is the "most amazing, spectacular, and fantastic" shaker card I've ever seen!! – I've YET to make one =/ I must give it a try… I'll watch your video – again =]

  4. I so love your card, Emily. I saw it on the SSS challenge blog yesterday and again on the SSS blog just now. I thought you added the watercolour look yourself, but I now see you totally faked it with this fabulous designer paper LOL.
Cannot wait for my Block Out dies to arrive, even though I had no idea the sentiments would be this big. That is one of the drawbacks of having to order everything online (and those pesky imperial measurement units).
