Welcome to the first Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge in June! This week’s challenge is Father’s Day or Masculine, which means we want to see something for Dad or another special guy in your life. The design team is featuring Ranger products. You don’t have to use it but we’d love to see some if you have it.

I used Ranger distress inks on distress watercolour cardstock. The stamps are from Treats Blueprints and Simple Sayings by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous. The card base was created with Simon Says Stamp’s Green Apple cardstock. I love this colour!

I hand-cut patterned papers from Studio Calico’s Printshop! 6×6 paper pad à la Jocelyn Olson – she’s our fabulous guest designer this month – and love the results! I fought the urge to cut these with my paper trimmer and I’m so glad I did. I may have a new addiction. 😉

Here’s how this card came to be:

One winner will be chosen at random to win a $50 gift voucher to the awesome Simon Says Stamp Store!

It could be you!
I hope you will play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday. 🙂

  1. This is perfection, Em! You know I really like those blueprint stamps, but the watercolouring you did takes this one to an amazing new level. (Two things from your video… you, impatient? And you _wanted_ to use Shaded Lilac? LOL)

  2. I really enjoyed watching your creative process, Emily. Love all of the layering of colour – I'm such a sucker for watercolours right now. Fabulous card!

  4. That was a fascinating video. It was helpful to watch you watercoloring the image. I am now enticed to buy that stamp set, even though I really have way too many. The blueprint look is just too interesting to resist. Thanks for enabling me *wink-wink*.
