Welcome to the first Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge in February! This week’s challenge is Have a Heart which means we need to see a heart on your project. The design team is featuring Simon Says Stamp Exclusives. You don’t have to use them but we’d love to see them if you have any!

To create this card, I started by trimming a piece of blue watercolour patterned paper and applying pearlescent embossing paste using the Mosaic Heart Stencil. While that was drying, I die cut a Large Heart Doily from pink watercolour patterned paper. Then I heat embossed two sentiments from Kelly Purkey’s Instalove stamp set on a strip of vellum.

After adhering the Large Heart Doily to the stencilled layer, I attached two silver sequins to the vellum, punched 1/16″ holes and strung cord through the holes, securing the ends together at the back. All of the patterned papers are from Pink Paislee’s Color Wash 6×6 paper pad.

One winner will be chosen at random to win a $50 gift voucher to the awesome Simon Says Stamp Store!
It could be you!
I hope you will play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday. 🙂

i love the vellum – and the WAY you attached the vellum! just amazing! and the die, embossing paste and heat embossing work so seamlessly together! wow.

  5. That is a very well thought out and executed card. I love the softness that the vellum imparts. I am now encouraged to try the embossing paste that I've had for awhile. Your artistic sense is incredible.
