Since the holidays are coming up and I need a few more Christmas cards, I thought I’d whip up this one using the boy elf from Enchanted Elves. Whereas in the original version, I left the bottom of the panel white – which actually makes it more apparent that it is a single panel – I decided to show you that you can sponge, spray or embellish the panel any way you like!
I made this third card off-camera to show you another example of a non-holiday-themed card using this same technique. It could very well be used as a holiday card but it’s simple and speaks volumes. I bet you can all guess who this sweet little doxie card is going to! 😉
All of the cards use patterned paper from Studio Calico’s Magical paper pad in the background. They’re all slightly different in their sizes and rounded corners to show you how a little bit of detail goes a long way in changing the look of the cards.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial and if you do give it a try, I’d love to see your version! Feel free to link up in the comments below. I’ll definitely stop by for a visit!
Thanks so much for watching!
