{Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge} Exciting News + Halloween / Halloween Colours

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve joined the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge design team! I’ve dreamed of being on this team for some time now and I was over-the-moon delighted when Lols emailed me last week with the invitation. Big thanks to my teamies, Steph, Heidi and everyone at Simon Says Stamp for the warm welcome!

This week’s challenge is to create a Halloween card or use Halloween colours on your card (orange, purple, green, black). I did both but you can do either/or and you don’t have to incorporate all of the colours. My card features three different Hero Arts stamp sets and a die by My Favorite Things. First, I partially inked and then heat embossed the Bat Background. Then I die cut the hills using the Snow Drifts dies and used it to mark where the girl from Girl With Balloon would be stamped.

After colouring her with Copic markers, I stamped the sentiment from Happy Halloween on two lines. I sponged Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord distress inks on the top third of my card and adhered the panel to a black card base. Then I tied black burlap string around the grassy hills and popped it on to the card with foam tape.
