It’s Friday again and you know what that means! I love playing along with Unity’s FWF, not only because I love Unity and have a ton of it – okay, maybe too much. LOL That is not a bad thing, right? 😉 Unity always has a way of drawing me in, whether it’s their amazing stamps, talented design team members, employees, customer service or publication incentives. Plus, they’re having a wonderful sale for a great cause right now. Need I say more? 🙂 Today’s card was super simple to make. It’s another publication reject but I still love it. If you know me, I love taking stamps and using them for something other than what they were meant to be. The sentiment is from Donna Downey’s Advent! set and I put it in a frame from Simply. Love. Deeply. to make a classic card that I could send to a friend on any occasion. Love, indeed.

Now it’s less than two weeks ’til my little man starts junior kindergarten! I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. I feel a little bit sad that he won’t be able to play as he wishes all day long but I know he’s ready to embark on this new phase in life. Still, I’ll be hanging on to every bit of baby he has left!

  1. how is it possible that you are after me tonight! I'm always so behind!

LOVE this card. It so elegantly perfect.

And what is junior kindergarten? my how things have changed since my lil' ones went to elementary.

Oh, and get ready, cuz, time is fast now, but just you wait. He's 25 tomorrow! Really! It feels like it.

  2. Stunning card, Emily! The stamping on the pp is really pretty. That's funny how you used the stamps in such a creative way! Enjoy the last couple of school-free weeks with D. 🙂

  3. Little boys grow up so fast, no?! Mine last one starts real kindergarten in two weeks and it is so odd to think that both of them will be in school full time. Your card is lovely, great asymmetry.

  4. This is super! Love the card inside the frame and the rounded corners.

It's tough when the kiddos start school, but it's so fun to see them growing and having greater adventures, too!

  5. Don't worry, JK still involves a lot of play. Now SK, that's all work, all the time. 😀
I'm going to echo Julie… a simply beautiful card.

  6. I love this simple design Emily! I know what you mean about your little man! Even now, there are days when I yearn to have Natasha with me all day long when she is actually at school.

  7. My youngest is off to middle school this year – something about those milestones still hits you right in the mommies 🙂 D's going to LOVE junior K! So much fun stuff to do & more friends to make – and once you know he loves it, you'll love it too. Promise!
I love the offset frame & that awesome quote 🙂 Fabulous card.

  8. This card is so full of elegance! Love it!

P.S. Checking on your blog after a long time and I see a ton of inspiration. I hope you are keeping well 🙂
