Today, the following members of the Avocado Arts Pit Crew are inspiring you with more projects made with the May stamp set, Thoughts and Smiles:

—> Emily Leiphart <—

To make this card, I stamped the chicken wire frame in black and then repeated it in soft sand to create a background. After determining placement of the tag and ladybug, I stamped them on the card base and adhered the paper pieced versions with foam tape. I fussy cut a couple of the solid leaves and tucked them behind the tag. To finish, I stamped the word ‘smile’ from Borders and Sentiments three times leading into the main sentiment on the tag. Don’t you just love that ladybug with the nerdy glasses? This was my son’s reaction, “Mommy, that ladybug is really, really, really cute!” 😉

Thoughts and Smiles is my favourite Avocado Arts set so far. 🙂 If you wish to purchase it, just click on the graphics below. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  1. That ladybug is definitely really, really, REALLY cute! Love the glasses 🙂 And the sentiment is a perfect match, because the ladybug totally made me smile 🙂

  2. So cute! This card does make me smile. Love how you played with that block of chicken wire and used different inks to really make the one with the ladybug stand out!
