Kim is sharing this card on the Paper Smooches Blog today. It features the newly-released Circle of Honor stamp set that is perfect for the troops, teachers, parents and even the Independence Day and Canada Day holidays! The wonderful eagle made this card quick and easy to throw together. The layered label dies are cut from sticky-back canvas, camouflage felt and cardstock. To create the edges of the card, I used the same ink that I sponged around the eagle and dragged the ink pad along the edges. I love this technique because it creates the look of paint and you don’t have to be too accurate or careful.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your day. 🙂

  1. This eagle is a wonderful image for our military men and women (past and present)! I love the simplicity of this card and the inking technique is a favorite of mine, too!

  2. Oh I love how you put that felt in behind! :> Such a fun card and dragging the edges through ink is one of my favorite ways to do it, so much faster! :>
