Hello and happy Tuesday! You might be wondering where I’ve been. In one word? Busy. In two words? Über busy. I was working on submissions for the Paper Crafts call that closed last night and I am creating for the crazy week that is ahead. Plus, I’ve been working on my 500 Follower giveaway. More on that at the end of this post! πŸ™‚ Kim is also sharing today’s card on the Paper Smooches Blog. I used four stamps from Smarty Pants that was released almost two weeks ago. Wow, this month is just flying by! At least the weather is warmer, right? This is another one-layer card. I masked the bottom stack of books into the professor’s hand but before I did that I had to snip the polymer between his arm and his head as well as underneath to give his arm enough movement. I stamped the stack of books all the way to the top edge of the card, flipping the stack as I went. The worm was then masked behind the books on the small ledge I created and the sentiment was stamped last. It was so much fun to colour this card! And much like the squirrel from Hang Ups, I want to use this professor on every card I make!!

Did I mention a giveaway? Yes, I did! And guess who’s sponsoring it? That’s right, Paper Smooches! Thank you, Kim!! πŸ˜€ I will be making a video tutorial and you’ll have a chance to comment and win. Stay tuned!

  1. Oh, wauw, Emily!!! It may have been a bit more quiet on your blog, but you come back with such an amazing blast!!! I loooove it!! That pile of gorgeous colorful books is amazing! And the professor surely is a superman to be able to hold it up like that!! And the worm…. oef, I'm in love with a worm, ha ha!! The set is still on it's way to me, some hick-ups in the mail or in customs, don't know, but I'm sure that, once it worms it's way to me, it will also be one of my favorites!! 9. Such a super fun card! I love your style so much! Could I ask a question … I love one layer cards, but was wondering what you do with the inside of the card as I find my copics tend to bleed through a little if I colour straight onto the card blank. Can't wait for the tutorial.

  10. You are THE most inspiring person Emily! I mean it. This is the cutest thing I have ever seen πŸ™‚ The bright colors are so fun and I;'m so happy you shared about how you cut your stamp. I have often thought about it and then I chicken out. Maybe now I won't πŸ™‚
