In yesterday’s post, I mentioned the versatility of Helping Hands by Paper Smooches and here’s another example. When this idea popped into my head, I just had to make the card. I think it looks much better in person than I can photograph it. I hope you can see the idea I was trying to convey. When you have a little pet like a hamster, from Party Posse, you hold it in the palms of your hands, right? My first pet was a Teddy Bear hamster named Dumpling. Oh, the memories this stamp brings back. LOL I shaded lines on the hands and curled up the fingers to create as much realism as possible. When the paper was curled, it created tiny little creases which I think adds to the authenticity of the hands. At least I hope it does. I know I don’t normally use this much patterned paper or so many layers on one card but I couldn’t stop the idea from coming out of my head and forcing me to make this silly card. It just happened. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do, right? I blame the hamster because he’s bad. 😉
