Welcome to The Twinery + Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Blog Hop! If you’ve been hopping along, you should’ve arrived from Janette Olen‘s blog. If not, please start at The Twinery Blog for a full list of participants and prizes.

When I found out I was participating in this blog hop, I was excited to browse through all of Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ amazing selection of stamps. Smell the Flowers is the set that caught my eye because I love to colour and, with the sentiments covering so many occasions, I knew it would be fabulous for all sorts of projects. I never considered myself a tagmaker but I bought this tag die recently and wanted to use it. I thought a bunch of tags hung above a desk would make a great gift for anyone who needs last-minute gift tags.

I wanted to use every single sentiment from Smell the Flowers so I die cut seven tags. I stamped the flowers and vase seven times and coloured them with Copic markers. Then I fussy cut them all out and, yes, I had one seriously numb index finger by the time I was done! LOL

I trimmed and attached ribbon and twine in Honeydew and Peapod. Then I positioned the flowers over the tags and stamped each sentiment. All seven tags are clipped to a double strand of Stone baker’s twine with mini clothespins. This gift set could be pinned to a corkboard or even attached to a chalkboard using magnets. As long as they are all visible, they are within reach for easy gift-giving!

By the way, I'm curious, did you notice more Dutch visitors? I was interviewed by a Dutch blogger and she asked me to mention some people I get inspiration from and I mentioned you! And now I'm curious if people who read it come to visit you! You can see the interview here:http://blogblom.blogspot.com/2011/10/en-de-gastblogger-iswendy.html

Don't know if there's a translation button, but maybe fun to see!

  10. Emily,

Your tags are gorgeous! I love how you thought of a way to use every sentiment and they all go so well with that stamp. As I have hopped along, I think the flowers in the vase is my favorite stamp so far. I love the way you tied your twine around the ribbon to really dress it up! Great job on this whole project! So sorry about your index finger! (I have been there myself!)
