Thank you all so much for your sweet, sweet comments on my Paper Smooches Guest Designer post yesterday! Your support really means a lot to me so I couldn’t help but make one more card using the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge as my inspiration. 🙂 Babies are warm, lattes are warm. Babies are cute, macaroons are cute. Babies are a celebration and so are birthdays. The clothesline is like a banner and the top of the notebook edge die is like the ruffles on the onesie. And, of course, I pulled all the colours from the photo for my card!

The sentiment, frothy latte and macaroon are from Hot Concoctions and the banner is made from a flag from Hang Ups. I used my twine knot technique to create the illusion of a banner. This is another version of the banners created HERE and HERE. After attaching the kraft panel to the base, it looked a little too plain so I cut two strips of blue cardstock which I think finishes the card nicely without making the background look too busy.

I’ll be back in a few hours with a very exciting new Pink Cat Studio release!

  2. Adorable! I love how you captured the idea of the inspiration photo in a totally unexpected way. And your twine knot idea? Brilliant!! I've gotta try that. 🙂

  3. Hee hee! The macaroon is too cute! It reminds me of the bun in the Lawn Fawn Bun in the Oven set. I like the blue panels, too. Your card turned out awesome–good luck with the challenge 🙂

  4. Well, THAT macaroon is cute 🙂 The other ones are just mean & tempting since I'm not supposed to eat them…lol
I love the huge polka dots on the warm cup 🙂

  5. Besides, it's just a baby-sized macaroon! 😀 This is such a sweet card, and an amazing way to interpret the inspiration photo. I think the blue panels added that perfect final touch.

  6. Oh, what a happy card, Em! I really love the last-minute strips of blue of you added and of course I'm a sucker for any cute banner!
