Welcome to The Twinery’s Design Team Blog Hop! If you’ve come from Hera Frei’s blog, you are on the right track. If not, be sure to start at The Twinery Blog for all the details. The team is three-quarters of the way through our term and we are have so much fun showcasing the best twine on the planet! The team is hopping in three groups over three days so you will see an array of incredible projects in many different styles. The card I’m showing you today was made with crocheted foundation chains in a rainbow of The Twinery‘s colours.

Every time I look at this card, I want to touch it! Don’t you? 😉 It looks like a snuggly little blanket which, by the way, would make a sweet baby card in your choice of colours. And I have a feeling some of you will ask so, yes, this was a publication reject for the last Paper Crafts call which didn’t really come at a good time with my move and all. It was the only card I was able to submit and it was obviously rejected and I’m okay with that. I love it loads and that’s all that matters. 🙂

Prize Alert!!!

Every design team member is giving away the Ultimate Color Sampler Pack courtesy of The Twinery!!! You will definitely want to hop along with us for the next three days and leave a comment on every blog to increase your chances of winning one of the most generous giveaways of the year! Leave a comment on this post by Friday, September 23rd 11:59 p.m. EST and I will choose my winner via Random.org. Check back here on Saturday, September 24th to see if you won!

I’m the last stop today but here’s today’s blog hop order in case you want to start at the beginning:

  4. WOOAH. I thought they were lined up like the patch in the previous hop.. but (after reading and looking closer) you crocheted EACH strand. Such detail!

  5. I do not crochet; however, my mother did teach me the simple chain stitch, so I just might be able to replicate this card. TFS and for a chance to win a great prize.

  9. Your chain stitched twine looks like a soft blanket covered with a heart. Love the concept and bright colors you used on this fabulous card. It's a winner in my book. Would be thrilled to win The Twinery Ultimate Color Sampler Pack. What a fun day blog hopping!

  10. Well, I think it's a great card – and yes, I can see wanting to touch it to see how soft it is. Definitely NOT a reject in my book!

  11. You can't call that card a reject! It's way too awesome! Let's call it mistakenly overlooked. Your twine spectrum is exactly how I organize my cardstock. 😀

  12. I love this card…they were crazy to reject it for publication…but I am glad you shared it here with us. I love the look of a little snuggly blankey. Thanks for a chance to win. I am hoping for some of those luscious twines especially Mandarin which is my fave right now.

  13. Wauw, Emily, soooo mamy comments here already!! But I do want to add mine as well, 'cause your card is soooo pretty!! Love the white base and then the splash of colors in the lovely twine and then the white heart! True perfection! Love it!

  16. Emily this card is adorable – I would not have thought about braiding the twine like that but it is such a super cute look!!! It's a winner not a REJECT!!

  17. Wow, this is fantastic, Em! I would certainly keep it on my stamping desk so I could pet it all the time.
