My blog was a little quieter than usual this week because I lost my mojo but also because I really was trying to have a little more me time which didn’t quite work out. I ended up not having the energy to do much of anything but I forced myself to play with some Unity for today’s blog hop! I made this card using the presentation lady from Domestic Bliss and the frame from The Best is Yet To Be. The sentiment was pieced from To the Moon & Back and Take Time To Laugh.

I’m entering this card in the Play Date Cafe Challenge #71 which is to use black and white with a limited splash of colour, any colour. To get the lady’s red lips, I inked the entire image in red and then used my Memento dew drop to blacken everything but the lips. I guess Stampin’ Write Markers might come in handy, eh? 🙂 The frame comes with bows which I embellished with charcoal baker’s twine from The Twinery.

Thank you for stopping by! Your next stop is Kate, who is also this week’s Growing In Unity Gal!

  1. Oeh, Emily, you did it again!! This assembly of Unity stamps is soooo perfect! How do you do that every time again? 😉 I really admire that! The little bows are so cute and it all fits together perfectly! And you mention no Mojo? hi hi. Well, do hope you'll find a way and the energy to have some you-time! We all need that sometimes!
    Hugs, Wendy

  5. Sorry to hear that you feel like your mojo has gone astray, but that is impossible to tell from your beautiful card Emily! I just find sometimes it's not actually the mojo that has gone, but simply, we just need a break, do something else, just to break it up a little. I still think that you are wonderful and your work truly inspires me!

  6. okay, trying this again…..LOVe this Emily. very eye catching. and holding onto older stamping supplies is a good thing, you never know when they'll come in handy 🙂

  11. Hi Emily – I love this card! It's really simple & sweet, and I love that it's only in black & white with a dash of red. I guess we all have one of those lack of mojo days but despite that you did a great job! Have a lovey weekend!!
