It was my Dad’s 82nd birthday today and we had my parents over for dinner. We had a really nice time, especially since we were able to celebrate via webcam with my sister in Indianapolis. My sister’s in-laws are there from Glasgow for three weeks to help her out following the birth of her second child, a boy, so it was really nice to see everyone!

If you were reading this blog last year, you will know that my Dad is extremely active and probably more fit than most people half his age even though he has been treated for diverticulosis and liver cancer. He does tai chi on his own in the mornings and goes swimming almost every day with my mom. I hope I’ll have that level of fitness when I’m his age!

This card features the beautiful tulips from Unity’s To the Moon & Back and a two-part sentiment from Nothing But Blue Skies. The sentiment is very appropriate since Chinese New Year is coming up in two days and it is one of the things we always say to our loved ones at that time of year.
