I’m back with another entry for the Hero Arts January Contest, this time for the Card Insides category. I made this set for a good friend of ours who’s been living in Italy and working at Ferrari for the past decade. To say that he loves bicycles is an understatement. He’s a world traveller and has even ridden in the mountains of Peru!

For the front of these cards, I used the International Skyline and the tiniest road bike with a sentiment from Joy Ride. For the insides, I used the larger road bike with the other sentiment on top. I made these cards with classic, masculine colours and a generic theme so he could use them in a pinch for almost any reason.

I apologize for the bad photos. The lighting wasn’t very good when I took these and I’m still trying to figure out a way to photograph groups of cards. Any tips? 🙂

  1. Absolutely gorgeous, such a great gift. I love the CAS and the different colours.

I have sometimes found it helpful to put a couple of cards on a higher level behind the front cards (I would use books and if it looked wrong add a piece of fabric over the books.) Hope that makes sense!

  2. AHHHH! These are so cute! Sheesh, how do you rock the one layer card like that? I make a one layer and it looks like I was too lazy to bother trying! This is so trendy and smart looking…Great colors and design. And look at that new picture of you… 🙂

  3. THese are fabulous! I love how you added the bike to the skyline stamp, it looks perfect! I also love those "have a great day" bike cards. FAB-U-LOUS!!

  4. Ok, so you're making it increasingly difficult to not buy new goodies. Great cards — and I love the colors you chose. And I'm with Meg — that font is fab.
