I’m officially in the holiday mood now! The malls have their Christmas decorations up and the Christmas windows will be unveiled tomorrow. Plus we’ll be shopping for the little guy’s winter gear this week so it got me thinking about all the Christmas cards I still have to make. I’m further along than I was at this time last year. 😉
Today’s card features some Unity goodness from the September KOTM. I hadn’t used the framed snowflake image yet and couldn’t quite figure out how to use it ’til now. I just love the background it makes! It looks almost like a vintage postcard, especially with the red and diamond sparkles. After I made this felt flower using the same leaf image, Angela suggested that the flower could be a poinsettia if done in red. Thanks, Ang! I kept that idea in my head, adding an extra petal for fullness, and it was the perfect addition to this background. I love how the shape of the poinsettia mirrors the middle of the snowflake!

Tee hee. Nice flower 🙂 (And thanks, Meg!). It looks absolutely amazing with that snowflake — and I'm with you on that background. Genius! Especially with the little glittery bits.
