As mentioned yesterday, I was in a creative rut thinking about these birthday cards so I decided to use this week’s Mojo sketch. They’re for fabulous twin sisters who are very different in appearance and personality. That’s why I made them the same but with different words. It was difficult colouring in those stiletto heels with my Copics but I didn’t think chalks would look as good as they did on the hair. Perhaps I’ll learn how to colour tiny areas with Copics at the class I’m taking in two weeks. I can’t wait!
I pre-ran the colours and think the colouring is better on the draft but the cards are stylin’ just like the bellas! As you can see, I originally used Copics on the hair but it looked too dark and hid the lovely layers.
I also thought about having the bella blow a kiss but the image would’ve been too wide for this layout. It would’ve been awesome though!
I know I keep using my daisy punch but I love it so much. This card needed some texture so I punched the daisy twice to layer it and lifted the petals to make it pop out. I hope you can see the glitter on the cardstock behind the ladies!
