Today’s card features Under the Sea: Background and Under the Sea: Merfriends. My favourite stamp sets by Evelin are the big ones, like All Is Calm, Sneaky Kitties, Floral Surprise and now Under the Sea: Background! I love the way they cover an A2 card front, making it easy to make a card. All three Under the Sea stamp sets in this release – Narwhal, Background and Merfriends – work well together.
I had actually coloured the merbear and wanted to include him in this scene. However, I didn’t plan where I would put him and filled the empty space with the fish, jellyfish and sea turtle. (What do you think of the bear as merdusa? LOL) The original sentiment I used also didn’t work with the card without the merbear so I had no choice but to add some patterned paper to the top of the card to cover it up. I die cut a stitched border across the very top. Then I chose a more appropriate sentiment for the scene.
