I have three projects, a lot of photos and TWO VIDEOS to share with you so let’s get to it! I won’t bore you too much with the writing since the videos will showcase all of the product and explain exactly how the cards were made.

These first two photos show the use of the Swing N Slide dies with the Oh Deer stamp set and coordinating dies. Here’s how the card came together:

My next two cards feature the Otter Ware stamp set and coordinating dies, which were created to complement the Otterly Awesome stamp set and coordinating dies.

These otters are the cutest and I love all the possibilities between the two sets. If I was just starting out and had to settle on two stamp sets, I’d definitely be buying Otterly Awesome and Otter Ware! Here’s a look at how I created these two cards:

The first otter card is more saturated with a busier background. The second is most definitely clean and simple, yet I used three different stamps – six total – from Otter Ware for each of the backgrounds.
I hope you enjoyed all of my projects for this release hop! If you didn’t arrive here from Stephanie Klauck‘s blog, please head to The CLASSroom blog for a complete list of designers. Now I’m sending you to Jennifer McGuire‘s blog!

Thanks so much for hopping with us!

  1. Wow!! Such great cards! I wasn't too keen on the otter set but after going through the blog hop and seeing your clean and simple otter card, it is now on my wishlist! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  2. Absolutely adorable, I been wanting to get the swing and slide dies for interactive cards and the new stamps are just perfect too! I love the cuddly party and jumping deer, thanks for sharing Emily!

  3. I have followed your blog for years and you continue to amaze me!Your coloring on the sweet otters is remarkable….I really want to hug them!d The pop of color on the deer card really highlights them and your videos are always so well done and informative. You are one special gal – thanks so much for sharing so much. A true inspiration. Thanks!

  4. My youngest daughter is going to love the Otter collection. You featured my two favorite stamp sets from the new release. Thanks for the inspiration. I'll probably case your cards to give to my husband as a thank you for all you do appreciation card and easily to my youngest just because she is my cuddle bunny. We are heading to the coast to kayak with otters in April and the timing of this stamp set is superb! Thanks for the inspirations!

  5. Your cards are absolutely adorable! I'm in love with those otters too! I enjoyed watching the videos. The new release is incredible…so many of the products are on my wish list. Otters are on the top of that list!!

  6. Two delightful cards. You taught me some great techniques for adding the little details that make these cards so much fun. Thanks for sharing the cards and videos.

  7. Three awesome cards! The deer sliding over to be closer to the third is so sweet and I love the background, too. And eek! Both otter cards are otterly cute! 😉

  8. Love how you put flowers around your deer family! Really adds a touch of spring. Fawns around here are not usu born until May or June, so I don't usu got to see them when the meadows are in bloom. This is just sweet as can be!!!

  9. What sweet cards these are! Your otters are absolutely adorable and you are right – these are going to be awfully hard to resist. Thanks so much for the videos detailing each step. It is so helpful to see the entire process.

  10. I would not have thought to use the Swing/Slide dies with the deer. Now I see the possibilities! Such a cute design. And, all the otters…well, what can I say! CUTE! Thanks for sharing.

  11. Both cards were so loving, one bringing the family together in an interactive card and the other the mother otter holding her child. How sweet. I loved them both. I am partial to the otters because they are just so darn cute but I do love both cards. Great job, really enjoyed the cards!

  12. HI Emily — I am so thankful for the ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN FEBRUARY 2017 RELEASE HOP – especially that it hopped me to you! I really enjoyed your teaching style and fantastic tips. Highlights today – cutting apart the images before die cutting; turning the card around in the MISTI in order to get some room to move; distressing the white edges to balance the image; and finally the use of the fun foam instead of foam tape — time and $ savings! Thank you again for sharing your joy.

  14. Emily,

You are so right about how much the Otter Ware set can be used to create. There are so many images that can be used for the Otters, by themselves, or with a lot of sets that anyone might already have.

Thank you for your videos. I enjoy how knowledgeable you are about so many things that tie into the cards you are making. You give great tips throughout the videos as well.

  15. I used to live in Monterey!! I also fell in love with otters. They have to be the cutest animals ever. Thank you for sharing with us!!
