Welcome to Day 1 of the Stamp of Approval The Perfect Reason Collection Blog Hop! Be sure to comment on every participating post on all three days of the blog hop for your chance to win one of these amazing boxes! If this is your first time hearing about Stamp of Approval, this is an exclusive collection designed exclusively for this particular box. The stamps and dies in the Stamp of Approval Collections are brand new on the market and won’t be released for individual sale for several months.  I’m thrilled to be a part of this blog hop with the Stamp Nation Dream Team and several guest designers!

I have a lot to show you today so let’s get started. My first card highlights the Perfect Reason stamp set and coordinating dies. The sentiment is from the Mod Squared stamp set.

I used the generation stamping – or stamping off – technique to get more variation from the ink colours. Tutti Frutti was stamped off so it isn’t as dark in the blooms and Lime Rickey was stamped off for the interior of the flowers but not for the leaves or the berries. Aquatini was stamped at full power for the large flowers and partially stamped off for an ombre effect on the little flowers.

My second card features the Paisley Peacock stamp set and coordinating dies. There’s so much you can do with this set and it was hard to choose a design! I created the tail fan using two of the feather images and stamped little legs for the peacock. The sentiment is from the You Did It stamp set.

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way. The more you comment, the better your chances of winning!  Day 2 and Day 3 Hop Lists will be posted on Catherine’s blog so be sure to start there tomorrow and Tuesday. One winner will be chosen at random from each day’s comments and announced on February 9th on Catherine’s blog. The winners will win their box and if you happen to win but have already purchased the collection, you will be refunded.

Day 1 Hop List

  1. OK I have to let you in on a secret. I really do hate peacocks. When my oldest daughter who will be 32 this year was two a peacock run up to her and scratch her face in 3 places. Just missed her right eye. But I got to tell you this peacock stamp is absolutely beautiful and very fun. The more I see it on all of these lovely cards, The more I want it. LOL!!

  2. Your cards are both amazing and I can't wait to CASE them! I just love how you kept the white background and really let the shapes be the focal point. Beautiful!!

  3. Love the spray of feathers for the peacock. Looks so real. You are right, so many things you can do with these stamps (peacock and flowers). Thanks for the ideas and inspirations.

  11. Oh how gorgeous!! I love how you used the new flower stamps. The flowers remind me of these great pods you often see in dry floral arrangements. I love love love how you used the tail in the peacock stamp. So pretty! Great cards!

  15. Hi Emily, so happy to see you sharing your talents with this new collection from the Stamp of Approval. I love the soft look you achieved with the second generation stamping on the sweet bouquet. And the limited colour palette for the peacock card shows he doesn't have to be gaudy to be beautiful. Great CAS cards!

  16. Your cards are fabulous. I have fallen hard for this collection. Love the turquoise flowers. They are so original. Thanks for showing another way to put to peacock together. I can't wait to play with them.

  17. When I saw your name on the list of bloggers, I was excited to see your cards. I think clean and simple is my favorite style, and you do it as well, or better, than anyone! By stamping off, it really changes the the look of the whole color palette. The subtle colors on your cards are beautiful!

  18. Sue Brożek (aka mailboxmoments). I like how you changed up the formation of the peacock. I posted the following on CP's blog. FYI…

Omg I love it!! The tail feather that goes closest to the body (when cut out but not stamped yet) could be used as a potted flowering plant. But any hoo, gorgeous!!

  19. Two gorgeous cards, love the peacock with is beautiful blue and green and tail feathers behind. The flower card was lovely and the flowers arranged in a good design.

  20. I really like your use of the softer colors…actually "soft" doesn't really apply to Catherine's inks, but I hope you know that I mean. Love your cards!

  21. Gorgeous cards!! This is the first peacock I've seen where the feathers are up and I've just fine all 3 days. If much prefer it this way!! Andrew those flowers are just so unique! How could you not love them!
