Hello, hello! I’m back with my third Winnie & Walter Leading Lady post!! Every Saturday, I’ll be sharing projects with a weekly theme. Today’s theme is monochromatic versus colourful. Both cards use the exact same products!

The monochromatic card features five Winnie & Walter dies and one stamp set in shades of white, greys and black. Across the middle of the Katharine Essentials die cut, I dry embossed with the Lulu Fringe.

The In a Word: Hello die was sponged with three distress inks, splattered with water and misted with shine spray, then stamped with the dots from the Big Bang Confetti stamp set. The Paulina’s Greenery wreath was layered with vellum and linen white cardstock.

This colourful version features the same six products as the monochromatic version, just in different formulations. Here, the Lulu Fringe is used in its originally intended format on the edges of the Katharine Essentials frames.

Paulina’s Greenery was dry embossed as well as used as accents on the ends of the sentiment that combines In a Word: Hello and The Big, the Bold and the Happy Cutaways. The dots from Big Bang Confetti were heat embossed with silver glitter embossing powder.

  1. Gorgeous!!! The black and white is so elegant. The second card….well, you can never go wrong with green and what a great design!! Love them both ♥

  2. I love how you used the dies for dry embossing. It adds just the right bit of texture without being too distracting. Great job Emily! I can't wait for next week's inspiration.

  3. HELLO BEAUTIFUL!!!
LOVE the designs and colours of BOTH cards Emily!!!
… feeling TOTALLY INSPIRED, especially as you have used two of my favourite cutaways by W&W (hello & Paulina's Greenery) – looking forward to trying new-to-me techniques with them NOW!!!
AND you have reminded me just how much I NEED the ESSENTIAL Katherine Cutaways too 🙂

  4. Wonderful x 2, Emily! Amazing how the same 'ingredients' can create such diverse looks! Your first: classy and sophisticated with the black/grey/white combination. The second is such fun with the vibrant colours and fringed edges. The double hello on both: clever! Thank you for another fabulous round of 'must try' inspiration, especially the reminder that dies can be used for embossing!

  5. Oddly (or maybe it isn't odd? lol), I really love the monochromatic one! It's so elegant, beautiful and I just love that black glitter paper!!
