Welcome to Day 2 of the 2015 Spring Catalog Blog Hop with the Hero Hostesses! You should’ve arrived here from today’s Hero Arts Blog post with complete details of this week’s hop, including prize information. I’m so excited to be joining my very talented hostess sisters this week to showcase some of the amazing new products now available in the Hero Arts Store!

I combined three brand new stamp (and die) sets from the 2015 Spring Catalog on this card. I thought the cacti from Stamp Your Own Cactus were absolutely adorable so I turned them into a couple to make an anniversary card for my husband.

To create the sunset background, I scribbled a Versamark pen on the middle portion of the Lines Background (love this!) and heat embossed it on watercolour cardstock. Then I brushed four colours of very diluted Gansai paints and set it aside.

The sentiment was created using Happy Stamp & Cut. There are several of these versatile stamp and cut sets and you’ll want them all! I used glossy accents to secure the word die to the sentiment strip and adhered it to the card using foam tape on the back of the strip.

While I waited for the background to dry, I stamped, watercolored and trimmed the cacti and their pots. I applied several layers of Wink of Stella on the flowers and added googly eyes on the couple. After all of the pieces were adhered to the card, I added two enamel hearts to finish the scene.

Here’s the entire hop list for today:
