Hi, everyone! It’s Day 2 of Neat & Tangled‘s January Release and, today, the design team is featuring the Out of the Box stamp set and Out of the Box Die, as well as the Origami Map Die, which coordinates with the much-loved Origami Map stamp set.

I have two cards for you today, and this first one features the Out of the Box stamp set and Out of the Box Die. I used this very innovative die – designed by Miriam Prantner – to replicate the Tiffany & Co. box (even if it technically doesn’t open this way) because who doesn’t love receiving one of their iconic blue boxes?! Happy sigh.

I love that this new die has the illusion of being 3D but is actually 2D so you can easily send it through the mail with something small inside. Yes, it’s that awesome!

My second project is a card set that I made for one of my favourite neighbours. Her husband is on sabbatical this year so they’re going to spend several months in Turkey before their daughter starts school in the fall.

I wanted to make sure she had some cards that embodied their exciting adventure. I stamped and heat embossed the Origami Map before die cutting them with the Origami Map Die.

Then I used sponge daubers to create a diagonal rainbow of distress ink colours before misting each map with water, which allows the colours run together seamlessly. I left the panels to air dry while I worked on other projects.

I used different sentiments on each one and positioned the airplane flying from Canada, over the Atlantic, to Turkey. Both the little airplane and sentiments were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black pigment ink. Here are all four cards together.

There’s a GIVEAWAY! Be sure to leave a comment on the Neat & Tangled Blog for your chance to win the Out of the Box stamp set!

All release products will be available for purchase on Friday and I’ll be updating my links at that time. See you tomorrow!

  1. Wow!!! I love all of the stuffing you put inside of that box! It is so cool! It totally looks 3-D you totally got me! And your rainbow watercolor looking set of cards, is so thoughtful, beautiful and INCREDIBLE!!! Looooooove!!!

  2. Love the realism of the first card (although I always tend to think Birks not Tiffany) and the beautiful embossing and colouring on the card set!
