{Neat & Tangled} Design Team Announcement

I’m so thrilled to announce that I’m joining the Neat & Tangled Design Team for 2015! Danielle is revealing the new team this week on the Neat & Tangled Blog so be sure to stop by and leave some love for each of the design team members. I’m honoured and humbled to be part of this stellar group of designers!

One of my favourite Neat & Tangled stamp sets is Origami Map by Miriam Prantner. I stamped the map twice, first with grey archival ink behind the vellum layer. Then I stamped it a second time with black archival ink and heat embossed the thought bubble (or cloud) from Just Thinking of You.

I watercoloured the area inside the cloud with Gansai paints, allowing the blue area to dry before adding green shades so the colours didn’t pool together. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and trail leading up to the thought bubble before sewing the vellum panel to the larger map panel.

Finally, I trimmed and adhered the coloured cloud to the white panel, making sure the pieces lined up with the larger map. The entire panel was attached to the card base with foam tape.
