Ever since Alpine Carolers (+ Creative Cuts) was released, I’ve been dying to create with it. This set was illustrated by my über-talented friend and fellow Canadian, Elena Roussakis, for Mama Elephant.

I love that you can customize couples and families with this set for a truly unique and sentimental card. It’s not only fantastic for holiday cards but it’s versatile enough to be used year-round (okay, maybe six months out of the year) for loads of occasions, especially in combination with other stamp sets.

All five of these cards were made for our favourite neighbours. I love that I could customize each one with their favourite clothing, hair colour and even glasses.

I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the tops of all the hats and hair to represent glistening snow.

For the three- and five-person families, the kids were positioned in between the parents. For the four-person families, I positioned the parents next to each other, with the kids on the outside.

On some of the cards, I used a single sentiment and on others, I combined two sentiments or used parts of the original sentiments.

The stitched hills were created using the Stitched Hills and Slopes dies by Simon Says Stamp. I also love how the linen card base provides a classic and elegant finish to the cards.

Alpine Carolers has become an addiction!! I had so much fun making these cards and I love looking at them even more! Can I even give them away? 😉

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Every one is a work of art, Emily… they'll love them. I've challenged every one that has this set to stamp them making snow-angels…I'd bet the farm that you could make this happen… let me know when/if you do it!!
    Merry Christmas!
