Welcome to Day 1 of Mama Elephant’s 2nd Anniversary Stampede! I’m so excited to be joining Mama Elephant as it celebrates two amazing years. Be sure to visit every blog for the next three days. Mama Elephant is giving away three $25 gift certificates each day, for a total of nine gift certificates. The more you comment, the higher your chances of winning! There are also exclusive giveaways on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter so you’ll want to click on those links, too. All 12 winners will be announced on the Mama Elephant Blog on Monday, October 20th.

Today, I’m showcasing the new Boutique Borders stamp set. I stamped the dots in three shades of blue on three different panels of waves, die cut with both the Femme Frames and Landscape Trio Creative Cuts. I used an acetate panel to cover the previously-stamped panel to ensure that the dots all line up.

The little girl, sentiment and umbrella are from In My Heart and Up and Away. I used an X-acto knife to cut a slit in the base of the umbrella so the little girl would nestle in there nicely. She looks so cute (and maybe a little bored) waiting to be rescued. LOL

The superhero and power bursts are from Super Duo. I used white hemp cord to fashion a double overhand knot to hook around the handle of the umbrella and a single overhand knot for the superhero to hold in his hand.

Here’s the Day 1 blog hop list:

  6. This release is so versatile, because you designers have shown us new ways to use this holiday release. Really cute card. It almost seems interactive. And I have to say I've never seen a double over hand knot used on a card, but now that I have I think I'll copy your idea…As soon as I learn how to make one!

  7. OH my Gosh, this scene is so cute and I love how you used the dies in an unexpected way to make waves. Cutting that slit in the umbrella so the little girl could really "sit" in there is ingenius too. So much attention to detail too in lining up those dots. Jut incredible! TFS and inspiring!
