I’m so super excited to be a guest on the My Favorite Things blog today!! I got to play with some really amazing products and this first card features the Die-Namics Peek-a-Boo Alphabet Uppercase. I trimmed squares from various cardstock and die cut the letters to spell out the phrase Luv You, Hun, which is suitable for a friend or significant other.

I backed the letters on the four corners and centre with white cardstock and the remaining four with grey cardstock. All coloured die cuts were adhered parallel with their backings, except for the O in the centre. Before adhering the squares to the kraft card base, I stamped the Plaid Background Builder three times to anchor the words.

For embellishments, I added two little sparkly banners from Die-namics Blueprints 16, a mini clip and wood veneer heart.

My second card features the adorable little girl from Just the Way You Are. I coloured her with Copic markers and popped her on the opening of a panel created with Die-namics Blueprints 16.

I cut an extra curve of red to highlight features in her outfit and adhered that to the back of the purple panel. Before adhering the panel to the card base, I curved the sentiment against the die and heat embossed it in white, in two parts.

I also heat embossed another sentiment from the same set on the inside, leaving the card base with enough space to write a novel as I sometimes do. 😉 To finish, I die cut some yellow hearts from Die-namics Smart Phone and adhered them to the front of the panel.

Many thanks to My Favorite Things for asking me to showcase their products! I love, love, love them!! They have impeccable customer service, super fast shipping and there are three ways to save when you shop. I know, it’s hard to resist. 😉

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Congrats on your guest spot! The alpha card is genius–love those dies and the colors you used. The girl is too cute, and I really like the flap design (I wondered what that die was for…). You rock!
