Welcome to the first Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge in 2014! I hope you all had a wonderful two week holiday with your families. This week’s challenge is Something New… New Year, New Job, New Baby, New Crafty Stash, New Home, etc. The design team is featuring products from My Favourite Things. You don’t have to use them but we’d love to see them if you have any!

My card represents a fresh start for 2014, a new beginning, perfect for me actually. I was more than ready to say goodbye to 2013. I had a lot of success here in blogland but too many personal struggles. I wholeheartedly welcome the new year and hope it is easier than the last two years. This sentiment is a bit of encouragement to keep trudging along. 🙂

I used several items from My Favorite Things, including Circle One StaxBoy Meets GirlMini Rolled RosesRoyal Leaves and Off the Chart. The patterned papers are from Crate Paper’s DIY Shop paper pad. I sponged the edges of the lady and striped card base with distress inks.

One winner will be chosen at random to win a $50 gift voucher to the awesome Simon Says Stamp Store!
It could be you!
I hope you will play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday and Happy New Year!!! 🙂
