I wanted to switch things up a bit and show you an older card that didn’t go anywhere. It was originally submitted for publication last year and then sent away so I completely forgot about it. Looking at the photo now, I remember how much I loved making it! The stamp set is from The Stamps of Life and it’s called boxes4abc. The bell die is from Lil’ Inker Designs and it’s called Jingle Joy. I placed some rhinestones underneath the openings of the die. The baker’s twine is from The Twinery.

Aside from my design team obligations, I haven’t made any Christmas cards yet. Have you started yours? What stamps and/or dies have you been using the most? Will you make them all unique or will you mass-produce them?

  1. oh so adorable!!! those rhinestones under the bell is so clever!!! and the simplicity of the card is just so amazing and gorgeous! i think it's a wonderful card! 🙂 i make all my christmas cards unique (or else i get bored mass producing! lol!), and i've been totally grooving on christmas cards! ha ha! i can't wait to see more of yours! 🙂

  2. Ooh, love this card, it's so clean and striking! I love the alphabet, and I think I have a similar jingle bell die. I need to find it!

I don't mass-produce cards. Like Samantha, I get bored of repetition, so every card is different in some way. I'll probably start making in earnest in November (although I have made a couple for challenges).

  3. That bell is perfection! I love how gorgeously 'simple' this looks (despite all the many fiddly bits)
As for Christmas cards…I am farther ahead this year than I ever have been, with DT cards & playing along with one Christmas challenge all year (woohoo for a completed New Year's Resolution!). That said – I have quite a lot more to do. I would say about 90% of what I make is unique, but I do make sets of 6 for sales. The sets are always a design that doesn't take TOOOOOooo much fussing, so that I can make it through all 6 without getting too bored.
