Kim shared this card on the Paper Smooches Blog on Tuesday. All stamps are from Green Thumb. First, I used the mud/water/grass border from Borders 1 Dies to create a mask for sponging layers of dirt. Then I used the same mask to mask off the first and second layers of dirt before stamping the vegetables into the dirt. I stamped the sentiment before adding the bee and snail. The last step was colouring all the images. My son says the bee and the snail are best friends. Heehee.

Don’t forget, there’s a mid-month die release tomorrow at midnight Eastern! Paper Smooches is releasing two die sets for Briny Blue, two for Green Thumb and three for Crystal Clear. One of the dies for Crystal Clear cuts out the inside of the jar so shaker cards are as easy as 1-2-3.

Catch you tomorrow!

  1. The bee & the snail ARE best friends! Look how happy the snail is to see his buddy! I love the brilliant idea for stamping the dirt – and that sentiment. lol!

  2. You are so good creating scenes, Emily!
I simply adore your cards. You always inspire me – I just finished a card for my son's coach with the hamster from PS in a baseball hat. I saw one of your cards, really liked it and decided to give it a try too. (will show it on my blog soon) 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your talent!

  3. Your son is sweet to befriend the bugs! Mine (older and more cynical) thought the sentiment was hilarious… VERY inspired take on the layers of dirt, and beautifully coloured veggies!
