A while back, when my son wanted to buy some wooden sticks to craft with, I ended up with more than he’ll ever use so I thought I’d try stamping on them. My first attempt didn’t turn out very well but the second time I managed to make it look good enough for a card. I used the Hero Arts Tweed Pattern. First, I arranged the sticks randomly on my craft sheet, then I inked up the stamp and pressed it down on the sticks. The trickiest part was re-aligning the background on the card with adhesive.

I used the Six Petal Flower and three of the Tropical Leaf stamps to embellish the card. The sentiment is from Thanks A Bunch, another one of my favourite and most versatile sets from Hero Arts. The patterned paper in the background is from Basic Grey’s Serenade paper pad.

I’m submitting this card to the Hero Arts Stamp Your Story Contest and I hope you will play along, too! The contest runs through June 30th and you can enter as many times as you like using any product from the Stamp Your Story Catalog.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
