I’m back to share two more projects as a guest designer for Mama Elephant. My first card uses the Papa Love stamp set and I created a wardrobe of ties for Father’s Day.

Here’s a quick video tutorial to show you how I did it:

When Dad opens the doors, he’ll find a nice assortment of ties for every occasion. 😉

My second card using Today Was  is a clean and simple one-layer card. I was inspired by my son’s artwork. Lately, he’s been drawing a lot of shapes, mazes and stick figures. The happy faces are his favourite and he draws them on all his people. Heehee.

I imagined the coloured triangles as a maze that leads to the sentiment and then the smiling couple. I used the ‘circle’ for the dates to stamp their heads and used a marker to draw their faces. I’ll give this to my little man, of course!

It’s been an honour guesting for Mama Elephant this month. Big thanks to Kryssi for inviting me to showcase her stamps! Thanks again for your sweet comments here and on the Mama Elephant Blog!

  1. Great video Emily! What an easy way to create those doors! I love the second card too, so bold and graphic, but with a bit of whimsy/fun. BTW – when are you sharing your anniversary card? 😉

  2. You totally rocked this GDT, Em! Today's first card is masculine with a hint of grunge; the second graphic and so fun with those smiley faces. Both… awesome!

  3. I love the way you look at stamps. Can I borrow your brain for a day sometime? 😀 This wardrobe rocks and I love the closure you used for it. And your lil' dude inspired card is one layer awesomeness!
