Kim is sharing this card on the Paper Smooches Blog today. It features the awesome Sailboat Die which is sure to come in handy for lots of baby boy and manly cards! My card is fairly neutral with its soft colours. I created the water waves by using the negative pieces of a wonky scallop border die cut and sponging the layers with blue distress inks. Then I stitched the pieces on to the card base and slipped in the fish. I was so giddy during this process! Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Surf & Turf on the boat and adhered it to the card. The possibilities are endless with this Sailboat Die!

Have a fabulous Tuesday! We have snow again which is hindering repair work on the roof. I am so ready for spring, but only if it doesn’t bring more rain. How ’bout we skip straight to a blazing hot summer? 🙂

  1. This is so awesome, Em! Great colours, and totally love the waves with the fish tucked in! There are so many people I could give a card like this.

  2. I got seasick just looking at this sea-worthy creation, Emily! Ha – just kidding. Love the nautical theme and the soft colors. I need this, as many in my extended are sailors. Cute fishys, too.

  3. It is so cool to see your cards pop up on the PS blog & know they're yours before registering the watermark. THey're always so different, but somehow they're also always so YOU! I *love* the stitching and the little fish slipped in are brilliant – and so is that AWESOME punny sentiment 🙂 You're pretty swell yourself, Miss Emily 🙂
