Kim is introducing a new program to the Virtual Smooches Blog and I’m delighted to be a part of it. My goal is to have a new video tutorial for you every Wednesday. I’ll attempt to cover a wide variety of topics and accommodate requests if you have them. Occasionally, I’ll even make start-to-finish videos and share my creative process. 😉

After this previous post, I received a lot of emails asking how I stamp multi-coloured sentiments so I thought a video would be a great way to show how I did it. In this video, I made a quick and easy card using stamps from I Heart Art and Helping Hands. I pre-assembled the hand holding the paint tube to save time. I also pre-stamped the splotches and pencils on the card base since my main objective was to show you my two tricks for stamping multi-coloured sentiments. It looks complicated and tricky at first, but it gets easier with practice.

I hope you’ll try out my technique and let me know how it went! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. AWESOME! And edited! And AWESOME! It makes it so easy to follow. I totally TOTALLY love that you included 'remember to remove the washi tape before stamping' because you KNOW I have done that, lol!

  2. Thank you, Emily, for sharing your tips. A picture is worth a whole bunch of words… I've added that masking paper to my SSS wish-list. Do you ever find that the ink starts to "separate" while you are pulling the washi tape off the rest of the stamp?

  3. GREAT video! From the explanations to the visuals, you've created an engaging 'lesson'! As a new-comer to card-making, I'm definitely inspired to try this technique (and buy that stamp set, too!!). Thank you for sharing your card, video and enthusiasm for crafting!

  4. This rocks, Emily! Such a clever solution for multi coloured stamping. I'm definitely going to give it a try. Love how you used the Helping Hands stamp here too!
