{Avocado Arts} Give Thanks

Today, the Avocado Arts Pit Crew is sharing projects using the October release, Gobble Til You Wobble. For this card, I used the ‘give thanks’ sentiment, the circular ‘happy turkey day’ sentiment and the big maple leaf from this set and added the curly arrow from ZipnBy to Say Hi.

It’s true, I don’t normally put so many parts on a card but the fall colours were calling to me and I had to add a few things from my stash that I hadn’t used yet including a burlap ATC and the awesome tab die cuts. After choosing all the elements, the card came together quickly. Some of the leaves were inked using the rock and roll technique to make it look like they are changing colours as they fall.

This has been the perfect fall so far and, for the most part, I haven’t had to wear a sweater or jacket yet. It’s the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend so we’ll be celebrating as much as we can but both my son and my mom are sick so we’ll be postponing the big feast ’til everyone’s feeling better.
