Welcome to {Day 4} of the Lil’ Inker Designs May Release! If you came from Alicia’s blog, you are on the right track. If not, start at Laura’s blog so you don’t miss a thing! If you hopped with the first half of the design team on {Day 3}, then you’re probably swooning over the uniqueness of this new product. When I first saw the Texture Plate Collection: Frame 1, I knew it would be popular and from the reactions to what was showcased yesterday, I know this product is going to sell out as quickly as the Bow Dies. There’s so much you can do with this two-in-one frame!

I decided to go all out with this frame and do something I don’t normally do. I embellished it like crazy and I love the look of it. Simply put, this frame allowed me to create a clean and simple shabby chic card. Even though I put a lot of ‘stuff’ on this card, the frame still stands on its own. It’s amazing! Before misting the centre of the frame, I masked off the woodgrain edges. (I’m going to add this to Moxie Fab World’s Spatter Technique Challenge.) The houndstooth label from Flags & Tags is stamped on sticky-back canvas which I treated with a matte multi-medium to stiffen it and also to saturate the ink. The banner and sentiment are also from Flags & Tags. I used the criss-cross label background on the chipboard bird, then lightly pressed a second blue ink on top.

Lil’ Inker Designs is giving away one $10 store credit and one Sentiment Flags Additions set so be sure to comment on all blogs every day this week for your best chance to win one of these two fabulous prizes! See you again tomorrow for the finale as the entire design team showcases the last release of this month, Sentiment Flag Additions. Now it’s time to head on over to Teresa’s blog for more inspiration.
