Wow, it’s been almost two months since I joined in on the fun with Unity Friends With Flair. I’ve missed it! These days, it’s rare that I don’t have a required post on Fridays so today I’m taking advantage of it even if it’s an hour before Mr. Linky closes. 😉 Today, I wanted to share a card that was rejected for Paper Crafts magazine’s Card Creations: Get Inspired special issue which was released in November 2011. If you have this issue, you can turn to pages 52 and 53 to see the cards that were selected for the inspiration photo my card was based on. I did have four other cards picked up for this issue which I was absolutely thrilled about! It was one of my favourite calls to create for.

My card uses my favourite Unity background stamp, Giving It All Meaning, the large key from With Love, the small key from Honey, I’m Home! and a sentiment from Think Happy Thoughts.

I hope you all have a fun, relaxing and creative weekend! It felt like spring here this past week but tonight we got some snow and it’s going to be a freezing cold weekend. We’ll be doing some toy shopping and hopefully some baking!

  1. So pretty, Emily! Love the big key with the smaller key! And then that half circle punched out on the right just adds that bit extra that the card needed! Love it! Wishing you a lovely day!
    Hugs, Wendy

P.S. Thanks for your sweet comments on my cards!

  2. It was springish here too for a bit and is now freezing! Oh well we have to get the cold weather eventually right? :> Love this card so pretty, I love the keys and the twine tieing them up!

  3. Hey, an hour before is still before!!!
Toy shopping & baking? I kind of want to come play at your house today 🙂 We just got a 30cm dump of snow overnight (and there are still flurries coming down…even though it's -19C. WHAT??)
I love the mix of keys & text, and the fun tab detail on the side 🙂

  4. That's a beauty, Emily! I missed FWF this week, which was a shame because I truly love it. I hope you had a fabulous day of baking and toy shopping!!! (Now, would that be "toy" shopping for the kiddo or the mom???? Inquiring minds wanna know!!!! Tee hee!!)

  5. Awesome, Emily! I really love the look of this card. It's so great because I think it could go either masculine or feminine. That's a rarity!

  6. so pretty! love your take on the inspiration photo. me have a reject from this same photo, too! =) yours is far better though! love it, Emily!

  7. Oooo! LOVE!! The key looks so real, at first glance, I thought it was (and then you would be moving into shabby chic territory). The notch by the sentiment is so rad. Love the colors!
