Kim is sharing this card on the Paper Smooches Blog today! It uses the office (swivel) chair, bottle (vase) and a sentiment from Vogue Abode. When I first saw the chair, I immediately thought of it being the back of the chair but its versatility allows it to work both ways! The ‘person’ sitting in the chair is the squirrel from Hang Ups. One of the vases from Vogue Abode was the perfect size as a bottle. When my husband saw the card, he burst out laughing and said, “That’s great! That’s totally what I would do if I missed you.” LOL The shadows are from Hot Concoctions and they are masked on to the card. The heart and Xs (stitches as hugs) are from FOLKal Points and the bubbles are from Surf & Turf. When I made this card, I came to the realization that the squirrel is the most useful critter ever. He fits into all my card schemes and therefore I’ve deemed him a necessity. If you don’t already own Hang Ups, do you think you need it now? 😉

  1. This is so fun Emily! I wish I could steal your creative brain for a month (at first I was going to say a few days)…and then I wouldn't really ever want to give it back. You are so talented!

  2. If only there was enough money in my wallet to buy all the stuff you've convinced me that I *neeeeeed*…lol!
Once again, Emily, you are BRILLIANT, and yep, that's exactly what I do when I miss someone. Perfect 🙂

  3. Argh Emily, this is just brilliant!
I Love absolutely everything about your card: the design, the humour, the negative space, how clean it looks!

Thank you for the continuous inspiration 😉

  4. Emily, this card is true perfection again!! I love it! But I do feel sorry for that cute little guy hiding away there all by himself…. Hope he will have his girlfriend next to him very soon again! When I saw this card, I immediately thought of the movies! Fun! I think your idea is perfect to use the chair-stamp as the back of the chair!!
    Hugs, Wendy

  5. I'm gettin' good — saw this on the PS blog and knew it was yours right away! It's so perfectly Em. Not that you're a drunken squirrel…you know what I mean ;P

  6. I of course immediately thought that was a cat sitting in that chair… perhaps that's what mine does when I'm away! 😛 Love the design of this fun card. You're always so versatile with your stamps!
