This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down or CLICK HERE for my big announcement.

A fabulous new Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge begins today. Just look at that gorgeous scarf! I pretty much melted when I saw this inspiration photo because I love scarves. I can never have enough of them. The colours are amongst my favourites so I took this one literally when I set out to make my card.

I paper pieced all the apples (without the heart and stitch core) and leaves on solid cardstock. I arranged the pieces in the same pattern as the inspiration photo and heat embossed the sentiment in the corner to mimic the scarf designer’s name. The apple and sentiment are from FOLKal Points and the leaves are from Hang Ups.

I hope you’ll grab your Paper Smooches stamps and play with us today through November 16th! Only one Paper Smooches stamp is required and, if you don’t have any yet, you can use one of the free digis that Kim offers in her store. Just click HERE to print and create. You could win some fun and fabulous Paper Smooches stamps to play with. Link up your projects HERE. I can’t wait to see how you’re inspired by this photo!

  1. What an awesome copy of the scarf Emily, love the shape of those apples! Orla Kielly's prints and designs are just gorgeous aren't they 🙂

  2. I love that scarf, too! I guess I'm still in Halloween mode because when I saw your card, I thought they were teeth–LOL! The card makes much more sense as apples. 🙂

  3. THis is an incredibly detailed take on the inspiration photo – I especially love that you included the designer's name as part of your interpretation! I'm also digging the offset white border – definitely different, and it works!
