Welcome to Erin Thiem‘s birthday party!! I’m thrilled that you’re here. It’s going to be fabulous! The wonderful Karen Baker organized a super fun blog hop for sweet Erin’s birthday which is today! Nine of Erin’s blogland friends are participating and, if you’re already hopping, you should’ve arrived from Savannah O’Gwynn’s blog. If this is your first stop, there’s a great giveaway at the end from Erin herself so you’ll want to start at Karen’s blog and make your way to Erin’s blog. Enjoy!!

Karen created a different sketch for each of us and I flipped mine horizontally so I could use it with one of my new Unity stamps, Spring Flower Chic. Isn’t she gorgeous? She’s my new favourite Suzi Blu stamp. I coloured her skin with Copic markers and paper pieced her clothes and flowers with Echo Park’s Little Girl Collection. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink’s Garden Variety and the thick stitched border is from Sassafras’ Stitchery.

So you’re probably asking yourself, ‘Why is everyone using red and kraft and Emily isn’t?’ Well, I sat down to make this card yesterday and was so pleased with myself until I re-read the details and then I had a big, “Doh!” moment when I realized I was supposed to use red and kraft. Oops!! Okay, I could blame it on having a rambunctious almost-three-year-old but I’m actually going to blame it on the fact that we’re getting ready to list our condo next week. You’ll all forgive me, right? I stayed up really late last night to make a new card for Erin that actually uses red and kraft but I didn’t like my nighttime photography so I’ll send the new card to Erin and post it at a later date. That way she gets a real surprise for her birthday! 😉

Happy Birthday, Erin! I love that so many of your blogland friends wanted to make this day special for you. I hope it’s perfect! Now, please hop on over to Yvonne Yam’s blog for more birthday fun!
