I wanted to start off by saying thank you for all your kind words in my last post. It means a lot to me that you all care so much about my well-being! I know I said I wasn’t going to post again any time soon but it’s Friends With Flair Friday and I did make this card almost three months ago for the 2011 Stamping Royalty Card Contest. By now, one lucky hero at Operation Write Home probably has this card with words from his or her loved one and I hope it brings smiles! A couple of months ago, you may or may not have noticed this card lying on the bottom left corner of this judging table. There were a lot of entries but I’m happy this card made it that far which looked to be the top 120 or so! 🙂

This card may look complicated but it was easy to make. The cloud background is from Take Time To Laugh, the fussy cut watering can and hearts are from Picture Perfect and the sentiment is from Fly Free. The rainbow of water was made by knotting a selection of The Twinery’s baker’s twine which was glued down on the card. It’s easiest to determine the placement of each element before gluing them down.

Did you know Unity is having a HUGE sale?! I placed an order yesterday and I can’t wait to receive my new stamps! Thanks for stopping by today! I hope your weekend is sunny and fun!

Please join The Twinery and PSA Essentials starting Monday, June 6th as we kick off an entire week of blog hopping fun with prizes, discounts and more!

  13. Love, love this card. I cannot BELIEVE it wasn't one of the winners – it's really striking & unique! (And my son Connor wants to know how to make the water rainbow "for real life." lol
I can't figure out how to reply to comments on my blog (boo) but realized from your comment that I wasn't very clear. High cholesterol doesn't cause muscle damage (that I know of!) but the statins used to treat it can (Crester, Lipitor, etc). It's relatively rare, but probably the most common serious side effect. Funny how much better I feel, after not taking it for only 1.5 weeks…makes me wonder what I've been doing to my body the last 5 years with it. Ew.

  14. I love it, Emily!!!! It's so colorful! The twine there is perfect! And so is the placing of all the elements, love, love, love it! Did I tell you I love it? hi hi! Do hope you are feeling better now, hope you were able to enjoy and finish your book? We all need some time for ourselves, so don't feel obliged to visit and leave comments, just when you feel like it, taking care of YOU is more important!!! All the best & a big hug from Holland!
