Hello Friends With Flair! If you have time to play with your Unity and/or Ippity stamps today, please link up your project to the Unity Blog and comment on all the posts for two chances to win some Unity stamps! Today’s card is a clean and simple one-layer using The Best is Yet To Be. After making today’s card, I’ve used all but five of the stamps in this fabulous kit. Since I inked up the stack of mini teacups for the first time here, I’m adding this card to the All Things Unity Challenge #31: Stamps Never Used.
I forgot to take a photo of the inspiration for this card (a wine bottle) but you can see it in the video. 🙂 I took the red and orange colours directly from the label and the sentiment is stamped in olive as a tribute to the colour of the glass. As explained in the video, I never fold my card before stamping since the crease will create an uneven inking, especially if the stamp goes off the edge of the card as it does here.
Over the past few months, I’ve had numerous questions and emails about how I come up with the ideas for my cards, in particular my Unity cards, and how I store my Unity so I hope this video will help explain all of that. I know there are at least two other video tutorials out in blogland about storing Unity but since I was asked specifically about how I personally store mine, I thought I would share that with you. {As I was finishing up my post, my husband came over to say goodnight. He saw the freeze screen of the video and said, “You put a wine bottle on the table in your video?!” When I showed him the card and explained it was my inspiration piece, he said, “Oh.” LOL} As always, you are welcome to leave additional questions in the comments and I’ll try to answer them! Thank you so much for your support and I hope you enjoy this video.
Before I go, a bit of housekeeping… I’m still not able to comment on blogs that have the comment box embedded inside the post. Some of you have changed your comment setting to a new page or a pop up box and have come back to tell me which is fabulous. I’ve been able to get to those blogs and happily comment. Thank you for your patience! Let’s hope Blogger gets this issue cleared up soon. Have a wonderful weekend!

What fun to see your thought process, fabulous card of course!
Great tutorial Emily… I learnt a lot 🙂 love your card too, even more now that I know where the idea came from.
Thanks for sharing and I must say that you are very well organised, Emily!
Thanks for the commenting update – I've been having trouble too, though today I was able to leave "Anonymous" comments. Hard to pick on a free service, but what a PITA!! I guess I'm off to change my own settings 🙂
I love this card, btw – what a neat idea with the stack of teacups!
I too find packaging a rich source of inspiration. Love the way you used stacks of cups! Thanks for flagging up the comments issue. Vx
Great video, great card — and I hope the wine was great, too!
I just changed my comment settings for you — I wonder why it seems to be affecting people randomly? Weird.
Happy Friday!
What a cool card, Emily! I wasn't able to sign in to Blogger at all for the past two days (no commenting, no access to my Dashboard, no way to edit posts, and certainly no ability to make new posts). Finally fixed it by deleting my Blogger cookies. Everything's back to normal now!
Very cool one-layer card! You have my creative wheels spinning with ideas now that I've seen what you did here. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love this card, fabulous! and thanks for the great tutorial, I love seeing how everyone else stores their sets 🙂

Hi Emily, Beautiful card, love that sentiment stamp it's a real winner:0) Your video is a real eye opener I can't believe how well organised you are,(I can actually, over the years I've had clues, LOL) and thank you so much for sharing. Hugs:0) xxx
That's adorable! And your video was great!
Great interpretation of your inspiration piece! Enjoyed your video, pretty much the way I have mine organized too, but I like that you also have printed out each set to look through. I have my print outs in a sleeve with each set but it would be easier to look at them your way. Will have to print out another set!
Fantastic card!
OOOHHHH I just love this card & the flow of it. Let me know if you ever want to come really play with us over at All Things Unity

Thanks for your great card and video, Emily! I like the idea of using graphics from everyday objects to inspire a card and I think I'm going to try it. Your style is always so fabulous! The video was so informative; thanks for that too!!
Great video, Em — and what a fabulous reason to buy more wine! 😛 Love the card that the wine bottle inspired.
Great card! Love it!
Love this card, Em! Great design and colors! 🙂
Great video! I love your card, even though at first glance I thought the teacups were monkey heads, which I thought was both weird and awesome. The teacups were probably a better choice. 😉 I'm going to have to start going through our wine collection (or as some people call it, "bottle") and see what inspiration I can find!
Great video! I sent the message earlier without seeing your blog–the organization is great. Wow, you have a lot of Unity stamps! 🙂 Love the teacup card and it's colors. It's awesome to see the inspiration, too.
Wonderful card, love what you did!
Great tutorial and beautiful card. Love how you got your inspiration. Thanks for sharing Emily.

Wow! You are SO organized, Emily!! Can you come to my house and help me out???? I feel like I'm swamped with stamps (and THAT is a GOOD thing) and I don't know where to put them! Thanks for this awesome video! I love that you were inspired by the wine bottle…husbands…they just don't understand sometimes (LOL)!! I get funny looks from my family members all the time!
I love hearing about how you find your inspiration! Fabulous card!
