I know, I’m really late with this post! It was a super busy day and I had the hardest time choosing a song. There are just too many artists and songs I want to share with you but I guess I have to start somewhere, right?

Today, I’m sharing a performance by Seth Lakeman whose talent will blow your mind!! My husband and I saw him live when he opened for Billy Bragg here in Toronto in 2006. The audience was completely silent and stunned. You’ll see why after you watch this:

Isn’t it amazing the way he fiddles, uses a stomp box and sings all at the same time?! He also plays a mean tenor guitar! Now that is talent. Oh, and the fact that he’s hot doesn’t hurt either. ;Þ Ever since we saw him, we’ve been buying his albums. You can read more about the meaning behind this particular song here.

I love discovering new artists and I hope you can find the time to share your favourite music via Marcea’s post here! 🙂

  1. Awesome! I love learning about new artists. I was going to download an album on amazon but wasn't sure what to pick. Do you suggest Kitty Jay? The music network I belong to (lastfm.com) says that Freedom Fields is the top album.

I love Billy Bragg too. Although it was a bit disturbing when my 6 yr old daughter would sing "A New England"

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  2. WoW! Thanks for sharing. He is amazing. I can't even imagine trying to do all of that at once. 🙂
I checked out his website too, I think I might be buying an album.

And you are very right, he's pretty darn cute.
Hope you are having a good weekend.

  3. My hubby got his album ages ago and so I'v heard a lot of his stuff but it never occurred to me he did it all at the same time! He's an amazing performer, wow!!!

  4. Emily, he is sinply incredible – I love 'proper' musiciamns – you just can't argue with talent. Thankyou so much for sharing with us this week xxx

  5. I'm silent……

    And he is cute!!!

I'm very curious what you think of my choice this week (a little late). They started out liked by all the young girls but their mothers picked them up as well…I bet that's not because of their high standerd songs 😀 This song sounds very happy and was their biggest hit for so far.

    XOXO Renata
